Resurge Spelling Bee

The Resurge Spelling Bee programme is designed to promote excellence in literacy teaching and learning across our partner schools. This annual competition, held on the 16th of June to commemorate the Day of the African Child, offers a unique blend of learning, competition, and fun for participating students.

We believe that effective spelling instruction extends beyond rote memorisation, encompassing an understanding of etymology, semantics, and contextual usage. Our meticulously structured spelling olympiad challenges students to explore the nuances of language, thereby fostering confidence, expanding vocabulary, and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for linguistic precision.

This year, we are pleased to host the second Resurge Spelling Bee at Nyamasaria Primary, with participation from students in Grades 5 to 9 representing ten partner schools. The competition comprises three stages: preliminary and semi-final rounds conducted within individual schools, culminating in a final round where the top four performers from each school compete for the championship.

🟧 Promote the quality literacy teaching and learning and

challenge students to improve their lexical skills, particularly in

      respect to spelling.

Succeed," encouraging students to master the principles and

patterns of English, expand their vocabulary, and improve their

      pronunciation.

🟧To enhance students' poise and communication skills under

pressure, providing a platform for them to demonstrate their

Isometric Laptop Illustration

Laptops are essential tools for university students, enabling academic success, communication, and access to vital online resources. Yet, for many, the cost of a laptop remains a major obstacle.

Our Laptop Scholarships help students from low-income families access this crucial tool, ensuring they have the technology they need to excel in their studies. Beyond providing laptops, we connect these students to valuable resources and opportunities, empowering them to pursue their dreams and launch their careers.

Help us provide 20 undergraduates with laptops by August 2025!

You can donate a laptop or contribute any amount to help us purchase one. Every donation, big or small, makes a lasting impact on a student’s future.

Donate today and transform a life!
